Colour Corrected Photographs for Cinematographers
Shot and printed on-set during principal photography of “The Human Stain“ in Montreal, I created over 50 digital proofs for Director of Photography Jean-Yves Escoffier using a digital SLR camera, laptop computer, and ink jet printer.

The photos were taken just after each lighting set up (and just before calling “action.”) Colour corrections were made on the fly according to the DOP’s specifications. At the end of each day, the final proofs (scene numbers indicated on the back) were included with the film rushes and sent to the lab.
Below a digitized copy of one of the original ink jet prints. Yes, every photo was printed with a fat black border!
